the rest of the world, you probably used Microsoft Word to type your book.
Unfortunately, MS Word lets you put in codes to determine formatting,
but it does not let you delete them easily. You may be somewhat successful,
but because you cannot see the codes you are really working blind. Camera-ready
documents must have new formatting codes that override the old ones because
of the style demands made by your publisher. In most software programs
you cannot enter new codes on top of old ones without making a mess. WordPerfect
has a "reveal codes" feature that allows me to go inside the
document and see the codes. Then, I can delete the old ones and put in
